BenShed Opening Party 9th May 2026

Over 100 people came along to celebrate the opening of BenShed in the former Youth Hall Benson, on Saturday 9^th May.  After a journey of almost 5 years to find our own premises, it was wonderful to be able to open the doors of our Community Shed to the Benson Community, and those who have donated tools and equipment, time, money, expertise.   Many thanks to Mike Magnay, local MSA Ambassador, who came along to formally open the Shed, and who has supported us along the way with advice.  Tea and delicious cake were enjoyed by all, and special thanks go the Benson House Care Home who kindly donated some of the cakes.  Items made by Shed members were on display and available to purchase.
